Show coming up! Hellbustin’ for Cause: We’re appearing at Urban Beets (50 N. Sierra St.) with Tyger, Roger Rhythm and Roy Delaine Moore to benefit Northern Nevada NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Show starts at 8pm, Wed May 4. $5 donation gets you in, we’ll take it from there. :) Come see the show and help some people who need it.
HELL WILL BE BUSTED
We’re playing Saturday April 16 at the 32nd Annual Tattoo Association’s event at John Asquaga’s Nugget. We’ll start about noon and we’ll play until we can’t go anymore. You can come see us and learn about tattooing and maybe get one. There will be lots of people there from all over the world. They’ll all be nice and fun and freaky. Hell will be busted. Oh yes, baby, hell WILL be busted! :)
I did a video and article for the Good Men Project Magazine on our Cardboard Box City adventure in 2010. Video features footage of the event and a pretty good blues song I wrote. You may find the article and video interesting, please click over and check it out

###

Hi everybody, and welcome to the fall (with whatever apologies that are appropriate to Ministry).
You may be tempted to think it’s been a quiet few months in Hellbusterland. Resist this temptation. Because while outwardly there haven’t been many Hellbuster sightings since July, things have been busy behind the scenes.
I wrote a new album’s worth of material between July and September. I started fooling around with a video camera. I started writing articles too, got some attention over at scribd and Good Men Project about the blues philosophy.
And now we’re on a little run of shows. Did Cardboard Box City as a one-man band, on account of Jack being on some kind of vision quest and unavailable… and will also do a little one-man-banding on 10/9 for North Valleys fundraiser… and then when Jack finally leaves the peote shack and comes back to Hellbuster Worldwide Control, we’re going out and playing on 10/23 for the Project Restart benefit called “One Day on the Streets” (check our facebook page, or their website for details), and then on 11/13 (or something like that) we’re planning on taking up our usual position in the lobby as a warmup/fluffer act for the Reno Blues Society MASH Bash at the Reno Ramada!
So be not afriad, friends. More is going on that you thought.
We’ll see you out there soon. Keep those cards and letters and emails and cakes and underwear and bail money coming in!

OFFICIAL ART: I drew this on my ipod touch. It’s the official logo… suitable for using on your ipod, iphone, or whatever… wallpaper. Or use it as tattoo flash. Or print it on stickers and put them all over your town. Or print on fliers next time we play. Silk screen it on shirts. Have a clown at the fair face-paint your child with it. It’s YOURS people, long as you OBEY the HELLBUSTERS.
You’re welcome.
FAN ART: Got an email the other day, a fan was playing “Moonbase Alpha”, a Steam multi-player online game where everybody has to cooperate building a base on the moon. Sponsored by NASA no less. And apparently, this fan figured out how to tag the moon with our name. :) That’s obeying the hellbusters, baby! Click the picture to see better.
Checking in, everybody.
So we just finished a run of shows at Harry’s American Bar in Reno. It was pretty fun. Made some money, made some new friends, and played in a very relaxing atmosphere. We took our little “busking rig” down there, first unveiled at the RBS Mash Bash last year, and played. I did three nights solo, and two nights with Jack. Thanks to everyone who came out.
Speaking of the RBS, we also got a chance to play out in the lobby before Shawn Kellerman and the Rick Hammond Blues Band played the RBS Spring Dance party at the Reno Ramada. That was fun too. I gotta tell ya, the Hellbuster busking rig makes us like blues Special Forces… we travel light, set up in seconds, hit hard, and disappear into the night with only blown minds, lighter wallets, and dropped panties to let you know we were there at all.
Speaking of blown minds and dropped panties, this Shawn Kellerman guy… holy crap was he awesome. I had only the faintest idea of who he was before he played, but I’ll never forget him now. Terrific show. High energy, great songs, excellent technical player and he also had a lot of charisma… especially for a Canadian. :) And our old friend Rick Hammond did his usual awesome job, playing a great set to open the show for Kellerman. I even got sent back by my wife to the show to buy a Kellerman t-shirt!
We’re messing around with some new wrinkles to the act and getting ready for the “Taking It To The Streets” part of the 2010 Taking It To The Streets tour… be looking for short-notice announcements of street gigs in and around the Truckee Meadows starting in June. We’re picking out spots now, and assuming the cops don’t get us, it should be a lot of fun.
We’ll be in touch.
